Sleepover With Those Kirby Kids

What a very special weekend Judy and I
enjoyed.  We had a sleepover with grandkids
Evan and Claire.  These pictures are just
the beginning of my tale!

Claire diligently and swiftly assembled this cool
puzzle of 10 international children in their native garb.
SO impressive, Claire!

Claire strikes a favorite pose.

Claire suggests that Evan looks cool on one foot, too.

Whatever super hero costume she's in, Claire's latest
name of choice is Princess Mirada Bad Girl Izzy.
I'm sorry, I don't have time to explain it all.

In a game of Mother, May I?, Evan is pleased to
demonstrate somersault toward "Mother."

When I asked Claire what her favorite action was for
this game she replied, "To fly like Supergirl!"
And she did so, very nicely.

In her Princess Mirada costume, Claire takes on another
challenge.  She assembles a series of animal puzzles.

Evan reconstructs Pisa's leaning tower with the
unused pieces.  But Claire will need them soon.

Evan generously demolishes his tower
so Claire can finish up.

Our Saturday morning treat was a visit to
Granny's Doughnuts.  We had chocolate, sprinkles,
doughnut holes-- you name it, we ate it!

Here we are, destroying the last of the evidence.
Then it was off to the Farm Life playground,
where the children had been only once before.
This is Grandpa's old school, and on this cool
summer morning we had it all to ourselves.
Twisty slides are the best.

Up, up, up on the geodome.  Pausing for photo ops.

Claire easily converts a fire truck into a rocket ship.

Hey, Ev Man.  Hang on!

Talk about a tight squeeze!

Going U-P!  As usual.

Grandpa, this tower isn't tall enough.

Spiderman takes on the Big Bad Wolf.
Again, it takes a little explaining.

Likewise, Princess Mirada Bad Girl Izzy shows her
fearsome fire power to the Big Bad Wolf.

As a climber, Evan is following in Claire's footsteps.

Just think, Grandpa.  We haven't enough shown
them the pictures from Camelot yet.
That's right-- and they're coming up in the next post!
