Just because I've been blogging less doesn't
mean I've been doing less. In fact, the more
I play, the less time I have for taking pictures.
But here's a sampler of what we've done lately
with Brianna and Hunter.
Brianna got creative with an old box of Playskool blocks I've had for decades. From a yard sale, of course. |
Every block was carefully chosen and placed for a reason. Don't ask me, ask Bri. |
Meanwhile, Hunter played with the magnetic airport, happy to have big sis occupied. |
Grandma and Bri take to the dogwood tree that overlooks our kiddie pool. |
And here comes Hunter, right behind them. |
After both kids said they wanted to get down, I found out why. They both wanted to climb up again. |
They were delighted with how far they could see from so far up. |
While they were in the exploring mode, they wanted to walk through our outdoor tunnel. |
Yeah! They made it to the other side! |
Bri finds that the little hiding place under this magnolia isn't as big as when she was just 3. |
This video documents the actual climbing,
plus the fact that NO ONE FELL OUT
OF THE TREE! No sir, not on my watch!
Let's close with this rhythm band rendition
of "I Am a Promise." Amanda told us that
the kids had been introduced to this wonderful
song at church. So I sat down at the piano and
provided the lyrics. Judy, Bri, and Hunter each
chose a favorite instrument and jazzed it up for me.
That's a great message for young and old:
"I am a promise to be
anything God wants me to be."
