However, the spelling error in the picture above is intentional. You know how I love paradoxes. When our church sign "letter-er" recently told me people had accused him of grammatical or spelling mistakes, I suggested he post this message. If he is questioned, he can truthfully say, MAN makes mistakes, but GOD makes NO mistakes.
That belief is foundational to all Christians. It can be accepted on faith, or rejected.
Did God make a monumental mistake when He allowed His Son Jesus to go to the cross of Calvary to die for the sins of all men? Did He miscalculate?
No. While it grieves God that multitudes have, and continue to reject the precious and costly gift of salvation, God knew this would be the case. While it is not His will that any should perish, He continues to allow us the free will to accept Christ's sacrifice or reject it.
When the Angel of the Lord rolled away the stone from Jesus's tomb on Easter morning, the resurrection was unveiled as victory over sin, death, and the grave. Many people know who Jesus is, or know about Him. But this requires no faith and has no saving power.
In I Corinthians, Paul says
I believe this. If you think God has made a mistake, any mistake at all, think again. Read his Word again. Meditate on it, pray over it, and Truth will be revealed anew.For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. . . . For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. . . . For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.
Maybe you think I lean a little too far to the right on this matter.
He Is Lord
Emptied of His glory, God became a man,
To walk on earth in ridicule and shame.
A Ruler, yet a Servant; a Shepherd, yet a Lamb;
a Man of Sorrows, agony and pain.
Humbled and rejected, beaten and despised;
Upon the cross the Son of God was slain.
Just like a lamb to slaughter, a sinless sacrifice;
But by His death His loss became our gain.
Satan's forces crumbled like a mighty wall;
The stone that held Him in was rolled aside.
The Prince of Life in glory was lifted over all;
Now earth and heaven echo with the cry.
Refrain:
He is Lord, He is Lord!
He is risen from the dead and He is Lord!
Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess
That Jesus Christ is Lord.

I love it!! I don't know why Christians are the first to criticize or kick one of our own instead of praying or helping them. God doesn't make mistakes, and boy and I glad for that.
He is Lord and Creator of all. His plan is perfect. Jer 29:11
