More about the celebration in a moment. First, a little catching up.
After a nice trip to Atlanta to visit my Dad and family there, it was great to get home and spend a little quality time with Brianna and Claire.
Brianna: TAG! You're IT.
Brianna: Hmm. Getting up there is about as hard as getting on a horse. Even a hobby horse.
Judy: Well, here. Stick this in your mouth while you think it over, at least.
Brianna: And for my next selection. . . . (That's actually a flashlight, not a microphone though.)

Brianna: Grandpa, you are a wild and crazy guy! Can I borrow your shades?
Claire: Here it comes-- the first pitch of the season. I don't know where it's going, so stand back!

(For those of you who don't know Brianna very well, it may look like she's not happy here, but it's just the reverse. This is her exuberant smile that just spreads all over her face when she's so happy she can't stand it.)
See? No tears.
Claire: Who should I get to help fill out my Final Four bracket, Mommy or Daddy?
Claire: Wider, Grandpa, wider!
Now, for the Celebration part of this blog post. As I recently noted, March 3 was the Three Year Anniversary of Judy's successful liver transplant. This past week our immediate family gathered for a wonderful meal and fellowship at the Thai Orchid. Just having the grandbabies there made it a more festive event than even last year's extravaganza. That's why they're featured in most of these pictures. After all, you don't want to see a bunch of grown-ups eating, do you?
Claire: Why can't I eat it? Are you telling me it's artificial?
One of those awkward moments-- not being able to remember your cousin's name.
Brianna: Very pretty, Grandma. But what can it do?
