I Just Can't Help It . . .

Common sense tells me to forget about it.  Leave it alone.  Move on.  But I can't.

The Tuesday, June 29 Raleigh News and Observer had a headline that caught my eye:

NUCLEAR SCIENTIST

TIED TO NCSU DIES

And I said to myself, "Self, some journalist has missed a golden opportunity to enter the hallowed halls of headline humor (HHOHH)."  I'd give a nickel if they had written instead:

NCSU SCIENTIST TIED

TO NUCLEAR BOMB DIES

Like I said.  I just can't help it.
